Bryan Nelson

Bryan Nelson was born in California and attended Chapman University in Orange, CA and receiveda BA in Communications/Mass Media in 1985. During College and after graduation he worked as a special effects technician in Los Angeles until he moved to Oregon in 1987. During this same period of time he also did safety/fire/liability inspections for insurance underwriters. Bryan then worked as a fire fighter/fuels tech for the US Forest Service until starting with Lone Rock in 1989. He started out on the planting crew and moved to performing other reforestation and silvicultural activities until he became the Reforestation Forester in 1998. Bryan now oversees all silvicultural activities on the northern properties. 

Bryan and his wife Kathy have grown children and grandchildren. They reside in Glide, OR where they have surrounded themselves with a young diverse forest that Bryan has planted over the years. 

Bryan joined PUR as a director alternate in 2012. He then became a board of director in 2015 and he is currently in his first term as a director.
